From the very beginning, our family dreamed of owning a classic hearse for England Family Mortuary. After years of searching, that dream finally came true in July 2021 when we discovered the perfect one — a 1956 Miller Landau Cadillac Ambulance Hearse. This unique vehicle, with its signature oval rear windows, is believed to be the only remaining model of its kind.
We purchased it from Florida, where it had been kept in excellent condition, and were thrilled to learn it packs a 496 Big Block Stroker Engine delivering an impressive 550 horsepower. Given that Temecula hosts one of Southern California’s largest car shows, it felt only fitting that we’d have a hot rod of our own.
It may not be your typical quiet hearse, but this classic beauty offers a one-of-a-kind sendoff — combining tradition, craftsmanship, and a touch of flair. We’re proud to say we’re the only funeral home in the area with such a remarkable piece of automotive history, giving families a truly distinctive and stylish funeral experience.
