Troy William Constein, 51, of Temecula, CA, beloved husband to Vicki Torcisi-Constein (m. 6/23/2000), adored father to daughters Carlee, 19, Jaimee, 18, and son Brady, 16, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 31, 2023, due to a brave battle with cancer.

Troy, or affectionately known to his students as "Mr. C", genuinely cared about them during his years at Temecula Valley Unified School District since 2007.  He also taught for 8 years at San Diego Unified School District, where he met and married his wife.  Given Troy's love of sports and most importantly, spending time with his family, Troy coached his kids' many sports teams for TYB baseball, TVGSA softball, FNL flag football, and TYBL and MS basketball for over 10 years. He was a true sports fan, especially of the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and UCLA Bruins. He grew up in Lancaster, PA and moved with his family to San Diego in 1984. He graduated Mira Mesa High School (1990), received a BA at USD, and an MA at National University.

In addition to his wife, children, and "baby dog" Reese's, Troy is survived by his brother Jason (Maria) Constein, sister-in-law Denise Torcisi Friedman (Paul d. 2020), brother-in-laws Frank (Lisa) Torcisi, Tony Torcisi, Michael (Fawn) Torcisi, his mother-in-law Arline (Frank d. 2012) Torcisi, his Aunt Irene (Mike) Legerlotz, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Linda Ackerman Constein (d. 2007) and Terry Constein (d. 2018).

All are invited to attend a memorial mass held at Our Lady Of Refuge Catholic Church (4212 Jewell Street, San Diego, CA 92109) on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 11:00am.
