Tommy Doyle Smith, age 88, died on March 17, 2026 in Murrieta, CA. Born in Dallas, TX and raised in both Texas and Oklahoma, Tommy was the son of Doyle and Camilla Smith. He is survived by his beloved wife Gae (Hollifield) Smith of 61 years; Holly Eckhart and husband Milton, Omaha, NE; son Dustin Smith and wife Nancy, Murrieta, CA; sister Dorothy Tonks and husband Skip, Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. 

Tommy’s greatest loves were his Lord Jesus, his sweetheart Gae, his family, and his Rocky Mountains. He lived a life of integrity and loving service in various leadership roles at church and work. He was always quick with wit, wisdom, and friendship. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Murrieta Church of Christ. The following day, Sunday, March 29, a visitation will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Old Celina Cemetery. 

After retiring, Tommy's mission was to help provide school lunches for hungry children in Haiti through co-founding Kum Ba Yah Foundation.
