Tauno Antero Hekkanen, age 68, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in the comfort of his home with the lovely Judy Dodson by his side. He leaves behind his life partner Judy Dodson, son Johannes Hekkanen with wife Janet Hekkanen and grandchildren Alina Hekkanen and Livia Hekkanen. He was born 09/11/51 in Ii, Finland where he grew up running the forests with his two brothers. As an avid runner he competed in many marathons among other competitions throughout his life. He would be up early running the tranquil streets wherever he lived. He loved cats and he had a special connection with all animals. Charismatic is an understatement if you knew Tauno. As a very social individual he enjoyed traveling and creating memories. He was easygoing and always ready for a new experience. His generosity was limitless, always willing to help others. Blessed with an innate ability to make people laugh, he brought joy to the room. He loved God and now has gone home to be with his brothers.
