In Loving Memory of Roberto Martinez

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Roberto Martinez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend to many. We give thanks to God for the gift of his life and for the enduring example of faith, humility, and charitable love that he shared with all who knew him.

Roberto departed this life on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 77. He was born October 12, 1948, in La Union de Tula, Jalisco, Mexico, to Juan and Julia Martinez. A man of gentle Spirit and steadfast integrity, Roberto lived a life of service, compassion, and prayer. He bore witness to the Gospel through his ministerial vocation, seeking to bring hearts to Christ and to remind all of God’s boundless love and mercy.

He is survived by:

• Wife: Esperanza Martinez
• Children: Laura and Robert Martinez
• Grandchildren: Vianey Delgado-Martinez and Nathanael Delgado-Martinez
• Siblings: Nieves Romo, Rosario Tanaka, Aurora Coronado, Jesus Martinez, Guadalupe Covarubias, Alicia Farias

Roberto was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Julia Martinez; his daughter Guadalupe Martinez; and his brothers, Joaquin Martinez, Francisco Martinez, Refugio Martinez, Tomas Martinez.

Funeral and memorial arrangements:

• A celebration of Roberto’s life, grounded in faith and hope, will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM at England Family Mortuary, 27135 Madison Ave, Temecula, CA 92590.
• Interment will follow on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Elsinore Valley Cemetery, 18170 Collier Ave, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530.
