Rayford Flynn passed peacefully on 12/24/2016. He was born on 8/20/1916 in Brewer, Mississippi to William Flynn and Hattie Johnston. He was studious and earned a BA and Master's Degrees in education. He first married Mary Frances Whittle and they had five children together. He joined the Army in 1943 and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Ray attained the rank of Lt. Colonel and retied in 1967. He was called to be a school teacher, taught as an ROTC Commander and went on to become a high school counselor. During his trip to China, he then met Dolores Martin and they married in July 1987. They settled in Murrieta and spent many years traveling, eventually re-settling in Hemet, CA. He is survived by three children, Michael and Joyce Flynn, Gail Robinson and Michelle Landsford, as well as step children, Laura Essex, Frank & Linda Thompson, Dale and Elaina Martin, Chris and Audrey Martin. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was given the nick name of Ray-Man as a term of endearment. He loved the Lord and Christ was his Savior.
