Rafael Evangelista Fernando, 73, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at his home in Temecula, California, surrounded by his loving family, after a difficult battle with colon cancer.

Rafael was born on April 4, 1953, in Malabon, Philippines, the youngest of eight children.

On July 23, 1975, Rafael married the love of his life, Magdalena. Even when they were apart for work, he stayed home with the kids and always put his family first. He was a dedicated husband and a proud father.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Lina; his children and their spouses, Margie and her husband Richard, Marilyn and her husband Jay, and Randy and his partner Andrew; his cherished grandchildren, Raff and Audrey; his adored granddogs Blink and Bolt; and his siblings, Hermie, Cora, and Medy.

Rafael will be deeply missed by his family and friends, both in the United States and in the Philippines.

He leaves behind a lifetime of love, quiet strength, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
