Rachel Krystene Johnson Brown, 43, passed away Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Riverside, California, from complications due to Cancer. Born in Provo, Utah to Les and Terrie Johnson, Rachel was the first of five children. She was raised for the first 13 years of her life in Utah until the family moved to Moreno Valley, California where she called home. She went on to graduate from Canyon Springs High School and then attended Riverside Community College. Rachel was blessed with her one and only dear son, Kevin Skye Brown, in 1993. Being a mother was her life's greatest joy. Her career consisted of working in the California State Prison system, beginning as an office assistant and most currently working as the Executive Assistant to the Warden at the California Rehabilitation Center. Alongside being a mother, Rachel's next favorite role was being an Auntie to all of her neices and nephews. She had a way of making each of them feel special and they always looked forward to their Auntie Day with her. Another love of hers was being a red pencil enthusiast and had recently been asked to edit a book. She also enjoyed her time traveling and visiting family. She is survived by her son, Kevin Skye Brown, her parents, Les and Terrie Johnson, her brothers and sisters, Jared (Jaime) Johnson, Rebecca (Brett) Davis, Matt (Heather) Johnson, and Marc (Tiffany) Johnson along with 4 Neices and 6 Nephews. Her grandparents, Fred and Betty Sim and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that all dearly loved her. Funeral Services will be on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Redlands LDS Chapel, located at 11557 Redlands Blvd., Moreno Valley, CA 92555. A viewing will begin at 3:00pm with the funeral services following at 4:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah, 400 East 1997 South, Springville, Utah 84663.
