Michael went home to be with Jesus on 11-2-2012. He was 58 years young. He lived in Belen during the 70's with his family and has lived in Pomona California the last 10 years. He is survived by his mother, Adele (Pope) Coplen of Albuquerque. His sister Angela D'Ambrosio of Temecula, Ca, his sister Emily Hildenbrand of Carol Stream, Ill., his brother Anthony Pope of Houston Texas. Locally, he is survived by his sister Joan Artiaga-Armijo of Belen; his sister Margie (Pope) Rothchild of Albuquerque and his brother Pierre Pope of Albuquerque. He had eleven nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held for Michael on Sunday, November at New Life fellowship, 602 Christopher Drive in Belen. He will be entered in Terrace Grove Cemetary in Belen next to his grandfather Oliver J. Blais.
