Maria Rocio
MacBeth
June 17, 1936 – March 27, 2026
Rocio MacBeth, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend entered into her heavenly father’s arms at the age of 89. Born and raised in Colombia, she was deeply connected to her large and loving family, sharing an especially close bond with her older sister, Marina, who was both a protector and lifelong best friend. They raised their children close together, which created a deep bond between them. Here in California, she had a deep love for her brother John, her sister Amparo, and their respective families.
At 21, Rocio met the love of her life who had been an American naval serviceman. She instantly knew he was the man she would marry. Together they built a beautiful life. They first welcomed two children in Colombia before moving to California and having their third child, where they expanded their family and created a warm, welcoming home. Rocio had a gift for friendship, quickly forming lasting bonds with all those that were blessed to know her.
Though petite in stature at just five feet tall, Rocio had a radiant spirit that filled every room she entered. Her kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness touched everyone who knew her, and her smile spoke volumes about the warmth and love she carried in her heart. Aside from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her source of joy and pride was her faith in God, and her patriotism. Though she was born in Colombia, she considered America her home.
Rocio was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bill, and is survived by her three children, Bruce, Catalina and Elizabeth, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
