Margaret "Peggy" Ann Leonard
February 4, 1939 – October 24, 2025

Margaret A. Leonard, known affectionately as Peggy or Grandma Peggy,
passed away peacefully at her home in Temecula, California,
on October 24, 2025. She was 86.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, on February 4, 1939, to June and Leo Ripp.

Peggy spent her early years in Madison during the 1950s
enjoying boating on the lakes, school sock-hops,
and good times with friends.

After high school, she began working at Motorola,
where she met James "Jim" Leo Leonard,
a machinist with a quick smile and a kind heart. They married in February 1960 and went on to have five children together.
Peggy and Jim built both a family and a thriving small business
in the hobby industry, producing radio-controlled model products that became known and respected around the world.

After Jim's passing Peggy continued to run their company for another 30 years.

Peggy lived life entirely on her own terms—
never afraid of what was next, fiercely independent, and full of spirit.

She was, as many fondly described her, "a hoot."
She never turned anyone away who needed help,
loved her family and friends deeply,
and loved See's Candy, cookies, and pie.

If you were lucky enough to know Peggy—
whether on the phone at work or in person—
she left a lasting impression.
Her humor, generosity, and strength were unforgettable.

She is survived by her five children,
ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on
November 22, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
at England Family Mortuary
27135 Madison Ave. Temecula, CA

Lunch will follow at Jamie's home,
and afterward, everyone is invited to
Pechanga Casino to play the slot machines in Peggy's honor.

Peggy's laughter, warmth, and indomitable spirit
will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
