Lyndee Batara Sosa died peacefully on April 18, 2025 surrounded by her family after braving a 4+ year battle with colon cancer. Up until the end Lyndee maintained her strength, will to fight, positive attitude, and deep love for her family and friends.

Lyndee was born in Chicago, IL on June 9, 1971 to Leandro Guitang Batara and Yolanda Bautista Batara. She grew up in Fremont, California. She is a graduate of Washington High School, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from San Jose State, and a Master's degree in Finance from Cal State Hayward.

Lyndee married Israel Sosa in 1997. They met at San Jose State. Upon obtaining her Master's degree she worked as a technical recruiter, until shortly after she had her first child Elijah Jacob (EJ).

Lyndee was a loving and dedicated mother that doted on her three children. She was their biggest cheerleader, counselor, and confidant. Being a mom was her true purpose in life. One of her favorite family traditions was getting matching Christmas pajamas for the kids, Israel & herself.

Lyndee was a fitness enthusiast. Her favorite workouts were spin and boot camp class. She also enjoyed running and was an endurance athlete completing several half marathons and marathons. She also earned her black belt in taekwondo when she was in high school.

Lyndee loved animals, especially her dogs Flash and Dude. She was an avid Bay Area sports fan of the San Francisco Forty Niners, Golden State Warriors, and San Francisco Giants.

Lyndee is survived by her husband Israel, her children EJ, Lucas and Summer, siblings Gennette (Robert), Dean (Brenda), Fe (Stephanie), mother Yolanda, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and in-laws who will always remember the love, laughter, fun, and kindness she brought to their lives.
