Obituary

Luis Arroyo Soria, 54, of Temecula, California, passed away on August 3, 2020 at 5:05 Monday morning at Kaiser Hospital in Anaheim, California, from complications of COVID-19. Luis was born in Los Angeles, California, on February 3, 1966. Beloved son of Jorge C. Soria and Maria Isabel Arroyo Soria. He graduated with a BBA degree from Woodbury University, Burbank, California. He worked as an accountant for several years and in 2012 he started his own restoration company in Orange County. He worked hard but enjoyed life. He had many ideas for daily activities and would always share with us all his future plans, while gleefully twisting his fingers and making us feel just as overjoyed and excited as he was. We never planned an event without his input. Our days would end with jokes, laughter and plenty of food to eat. Luis was also known as Uncle Louie to many of us. Everytime he would visit our sister Maria (who runs an in-home child care), all the children would scream…"Uncle Louie, Uncle Louie!", as they ran to greet and hug him. He enjoyed the attention and the commotion that they made upon his arrival. But the person he enjoyed spending the most time with, was our Mom. Luis had a second home, due to working long hours and not having the energy to drive back to Temecula, every night. When he would notify our Mom that he would not be going home for the weekend, she would go stay with him ...that 2 day visit would turn into a week or two, because he loved her so much. He was close to his family, friends and his 3 fur-babies (doggies)...Lucky, Louie and Cooper, that he adopted from shelters...which he spoiled and never scolded them. All 3 now have a 'forever home' with us. Louie's one wish was, "to retire and live on the beach, like a rich old man, kicking back with a drink in my hand and watching the sunset every evening", he would say. His hobbies included, cake decorating, hiking, marathon running and shopping for that perfect piece that was needed to complete the look he was trying to achieve for his home or someone else's home. Luis is survived by his mom, Maria Isabel Arroyo Soria; his brothers, Jorge A. Soria, Jesus A. Soria, Francisco A. Soria and Jaime A. Soria; his sisters, Maria Brandts-Buys, Susana Cooper and Patricia A. Soria, and plenty of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Committal service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Temecula Public Cemetery, 41911 C St., Temecula, CA 92592. The cemetery is allowing 25 guests (reserved for only immediate family members and relatives) to be in attendance. Social distancing is being enforced and masks are required. Luis leaves a huge hole in our hearts, but a lasting impression with wonderful memories. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be hosting a reception after the funeral. We love you Luis/Uncle Louie...Rest In Peace ♰
