Obituary

“He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3

Lorenza Maceda Cabugos departed to be with her lord and savior on April 6, 2026. May she rest in peace.

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Auntie, Cousin, and Friend

Lorenza (Lori) Maceda Cabugos was born in Laguna, Philippines. The third youngest child of Lorenzo and Constancia Maceda, with 9 of her siblings. She is married to the U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Tomas S. Cabugos, Jr. She is survived by her 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandbaby.

She has lived the majority of her adult life in the Bay Area, raising her four children. She ended up residing in Southern California along with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes include cooking, field trips to the casino, and spending time with family. You will always find Lori properly dressed for the occasion with top-of-the-line attire, purses, and her fine jewelry.

Lori has always been welcoming to others in friendship and always brought people together with her undeniable sense of humor. A loyal woman to God and her family, Lori never passes up an opportunity to share laughs and good times with loved ones. She always made sure to keep in touch with her family in the Philippines as well. Being able to stay in touch with her countless nieces and nephews through various ways of communicating, such as video calls, social media, and text messaging. This was always something Lori embraced and never took for granted.

A lifetime supporter of the military, being a military wife and mother, Lori was proud of her association with the Navy. There is nothing that can describe the resilience in Lori. She took on all challenges she experienced throughout her life with commitment and self-reliance. Shared and taught, she is truly someone who believed in carrying themselves with respect and dignity. She will be missed by so many, but all who have been blessed to know her will always have fond memories of her and her love of life.
