Kathleen Marie Montenegro (née Sullivan), 75, of Murrieta, passed away at home on August 14, 2022, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born November 24, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, before moving to California in 1976.

Kathy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Gertrude Sullivan (née Jackson) and William Sullivan.

She is survived by her husband, José Montenegro, son, Maxim Montenegro, both of Murrieta, and brother, Terrence (Jo Ann) Sullivan of West Bloomfield, Michigan.

Her family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., followed by a Liturgy of the Word at 4:00 p.m. at England Family Mortuary, 27135 Madison Avenue, Temecula, California, 92590. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
