IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julieta
Yoshisaki

In Loving Memory of Julieta De Vera Gudani Yoshisaki
Julieta De Vera Gudani Yoshisaki, 84, passed away peacefully in Winchester, California, on
January 1, 2026. She lived a life marked by faith, humility, and a generosity that seemed to
have no limit. While her family grieves her loss deeply, they also give thanks for the gift of her
life and take comfort in the hope of God’s promises.
Julieta was born and raised in Caingin, San Rafael, Bulacan, Philippines. As the second of 11
children, she learned early what it meant to be steady, responsible, and strong, lessons she
carried throughout her life. She went on to graduate from the University of the Philippines
School of Nursing in 1960, a source of pride that reflected her commitment to service and
excellence.
Julieta devoted her professional life to caring for others, serving as a public health nurse-
midwife and later as a Regional Nurse Supervisor with the Department of Health in the
Philippines. She was also a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho. She approached her work
as a calling, caring for communities with diligence and compassion, and doing it quietly, without
seeking attention.
She made her home in Guiguinto, Bulacan, where she enjoyed the simple and meaningful joys
of life. Julieta was a voracious reader, loved crocheting, and was always ready for a good game
of Scrabble. Her faith was part of her everyday rhythm, and she especially enjoyed watching
EWTN. She also loved familiar comforts like Little House on the Prairie and Combat. Practical
and wise, she often reminded her family, “It is not how much you earn but how much you save,”
a line that sounded so much like her: thoughtful, steady, and caring.
To know Julieta was to know someone trustworthy, humble, and generous to a fault. She
worked hard, loved faithfully, and had an infectious laughter that could brighten a room. She
was a kind and loyal friend, and a devoted mother and grandmother who gave more than she
ever asked for.
Julieta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Magno Yoshisaki (deceased 2006). She
is survived by her children, Eleanor, Magnolia, and Carlo Magno; sons-in-law Edgardo and
Rommel, daughter-in-law May Farrah, and by her cherished grandchildren, Jasmine, Mark,
Kiko, Sofia, and Luis.
Her family will miss her dearly, but they also believe it is time for her to rest, and to be reunited
with Dad. As Scripture reminds us, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… and I will dwell
in the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm 23).
