John Francis Murphy III, 56, of Temecula, California, succumbed to Pancreatic Cancer in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family on October 31, 2022.

John is survived by his wife Susan of 30 years, sons Charlie Murphy (Ashley Directo), Daniel (Paris) Murphy, daughter Kaylie Murphy, Mother Maria Murphy, sisters Terri (Vance) Brown, Angelina Murphy, Lisa Kirst, and grandchildren Aaliyah Canada, Mason Directo, nieces, nephews, and extended family. John was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to everyone he came across.

John was born May 4, 1966, in Glendale, California to his mother Maria and predeceased father John Murphy Jr. John loved sports; following hockey and football, and rooting for the Detroit Red Wings and the Los Angeles Rams. He worked as a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), while also owning and operating his own business in the same field for the last 10 years before he was forced to give up the career he loved and was highly respected in, due to his health.

John spent his free time with his family and friends, always being the life of the party. He was known for striking up conversations with anyone about anything and as a result, gained him the nickname The Mayor of Old Town. John also enjoyed playing the guitar and drums and would constantly be known for grabbing one of his many instruments and performing for those around him, showcasing his passion for all things Van Halen and classic rock, thus gaining him the title The Rockstar. He enjoyed watching Fox News or movies in an variety of genres ranging from bank heists, comedies and even Disney movies; such as The Town, The Other Guys, Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins to name a few.

John's family was his most prized possession and was the type of person that would do anything and everything for those he loved. He got to experience the joys of being a grandfather, welcoming his first granddaughter and bonus grandson in 2021. He loved his family more than anything and to say he will be missed is an understatement. We are thankful to say he left this Earth on his own terms and pain free surrounded by the ones he loved the most.

A special thank you to Kaiser Hospice in Riverside for their loving care and support during John's final weeks. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards England Family Mortuary and Calvary Chapel Bible Fellowship for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.

Funeral services for John will be held at Calvary Chapel Bible Fellowship in Temecula, located at 34180 Rancho California Road on Tuesday, November 15^th from 10:30- 12:30PM.
