John Phillip Campbell, age 74, passed away on October 31, 2021. He was born on May 26, 1947. John Phillip Campbell HMC (SW), beloved husband of Jeani (Prather) Campbell and much loved Father of Peter Campbell has gone home to be with the Lord. John is survived by a brother, Timothy Campbell and many much loved nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Catherine Campbell, sisters; Nancy Burkett, Carol Nisley and Sara Raupp. and a brother Thomas Campbell. John received an associates degree from Easter Michigan University. He retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after nearly 22 years of active duty service to his country. During his career he was stationed at Great Lakes, IL; Naval Hospital, Boston, MA; Kaneohe, HI; Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA; Aboard the USS Cleveland at San Diego; Summer support for Antarctica in Christ Church, New Zealand; Miramar Naval Air Station, San Diego; Little Creek, Virginia; US Embassy, London England and Balboa Naval Medical Center San Diego. A military Honors memorial will be held at Miramar National Cemetery. John loved his family so very much. In lieu of flowers please have a special outing with your families and make some memories.
