James (Jim) Weinandy, a proud veteran of the US Navy, passed away on August 7th, 2021. The son of Richard and Wilma Weinandy was born in Tiffin, OH on February 27th, 1943. He attended the Ohio University where he received a BBA in Accounting and Pre-Law in 1965. Jim enlisted in the US Navy the same year, where he was valued and served his country honorably as a Lieutenant during the Vietnam War. As part of his service, Jim led a newly formed Task Force conducting river raid operations for PT boats in the I Corps area. After receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1969, Jim had several positions in Commercial Real Estate and the Financial Industry where he ultimately founded his own Financial Consulting firm in San Diego, CA. Throughout his life, Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and would never miss a moment to see them when possible. He adored living in California with his beloved wife, traveling, taking long walks, scenic drives, and landscaping. Additionally, Jim generally loved reading and exploring new things about life on a daily basis, especially when it came to technology. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Linda; his stepson, Jason, his siblings, John Weinandy, Richard Weinandy, Thomas J. Weinandy, and Patricia Bour, along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held between 2-4 PST, Monday, August 16th, 2021, at England Family Mortuary located at 27135 Madison Ave, Temecula, CA 92590.
