Harold Calvin Newstrom, 92 years old of Temecula. He was born in Pennsylvania on October 2, 1926, and went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2019 in California. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Rita and Richard Saks, by son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Sherry Purvis, by grandchildren Hank, Eric, Lisa, Ambrosia, Joshua, Samuel, and Nika, also great grandchildren Andrew, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Matthew, and Delilah. He grew up with his large loving family in Pennsylvania, where he worked in a glass factory and a steel mill. He joined the Army during World War II, where he participated in the occupation of Japan. His relationship with God began when he accepted Christ on Palm Sunday 1956. He loved the Lord and reading his Bible. He moved to California, where he worked at Kaiser Steel and Wieland Precision. He was a great story teller, who loved playing golf and handball, working on cars, knitting, playing the organ, solving crossword puzzles, and the daily game of Yahtzee. His good-humored, fun, and sometimes ornery spirit will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held April 11, 2019 at 10:00, with visitation one hour before the service at England Family Mortuary, 27135 Madison Ave., Temecula, CA
