Deacon Frederick Conrad von Voigt was born on May 6, 1932, in NYC, New York. Frederick passed away on March 10, 2026 and is survived by his loving daughters, Susan Chatman and Mary McFadden and sons Robert von Voigt and Mark von Voigt. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Frederick is proceeded in death by the love of his life, Frances and eldest son, Frederick C. von Voigt Jr, as well as his 2 sisters Frances and Veronica, and 5 brothers Richard, Bernard, Arthur, John and Robert.
Frederick enlisted in the United States Navy in 1950. He was assigned to the USS Tripolo (CVE) and served this nation for 2 years.
Frederick married Frances Cascio on April 24, 1954 in Queens, New York. His marriage lasted 65 years. Frances was his one true love and he mourned her ever single day after she passed.
On May 19, 1990, Frederick was ordained to the Diaconate at Holy Family Cathedral in Orange, CA. As a Deacon, Frederick alongside his wife Frances, served the Lord in many different endeavors. He fought for the rights of the downtrodden, even spending several years at Casa Theresa which is a homeless shelter for women, children, and babies. He also made numerous trips to Tijuana, Mexico to serve the children living in orphanages. He devoted his life to the Lord.
Frederick will be remembered for his total devotion to Frances as well as his missionary work for the church. Frederick loved his family especially his grandchildren. Frederick will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
