In lieu of flowers, donations at requested in Frances Von Voigt's name to St Jude Children's Research.
Frances Von Voigt, a resident of the beautiful Temecula Wine Country passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 23, 2019 at the age of 83.
She was born on August 31,1935 in Queens, New York to Salvatore and Mary Cascio. She lived in Ozone Park with her parents, brother Joseph and sister Rosetta. When she was 14 years old, she met the love of her life, Fredrick Conrad Von Voigt and they started dating. She was 18 years old when they married on April 24, 1954. They enjoyed 65 years of friendship, love, and companionship. In 1957, Fran and Fred started their family when Frederick Conrad Von Voigt Jr. was born. The family grew to 5 when Susan Marie, Robert, Mark and Mary Frances were added to the family.
Frances was the Lord's servant her whole life. She followed the the teachings of Jesus Christ where in the Gospel of Mark, Jesus shows his servant's heart:
"And He sat down and called the twelve. And He said to them, "If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all". Mark 9:35
Frances had a servant's heart but she did not flaunt her service. She hated being in the limelight but rather stayed in the background where she could do the the best work.
Being a proud Sicilian American, she loved cooking and her Italian cuisine was legendary. She loved to cook huge meals for her family and friends. She was a huge fan of thriller novels and would take notes to make sure she caught every plot.
Frances is survived by her loving husband, Frederick, Sons, Robert and Mark, daughters Susan Chatman and Mary McFadden,17 grandchildren/great grandchildren and other family and friends.
Showing her servant's heart until the very end, Frances' wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital at stjude.org.
