In Loving Memory of Esterlita Maratas Arcamo
April 10, 1946 – October 4, 2026
It is with deep sadness and loving hearts that we announce the passing of Esterlita Maratas Arcamo who was called to Heaven on October 4, 2026 at the age of 80 in Temecula, California. The name “Esterlita” means “little star”, especially fitting for someone who brought so much love and light into the lives of those around her. Though she is no longer with us, her light will continue to shine in our hearts, today and always. Forever loved – as a wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, sister, and friend. Forever our beloved little star.
Born on April 10, 1946, in Panaytayon, Tubigon Bohol, Philippines, Esterlita grew up in a seaside town with her parents and 5 siblings. She pursued a career that would help others, graduating from Southwestern University in Cebu City, Philippines and became a Registered Nurse. Over the course of 34 years, her nursing career took her to the United States from Philadelphia to Maryland to California, where she dedicated herself to caring for U.S. service members, veterans, and their families. Along the way, she also owned and operated a Filipino restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada, sharing her culture and love of cooking with others. In retirement, Esterlita found happiness in the simple pleasures of everyday life. She lovingly tended to her garden, growing beautiful flowers, plants, and trees that grew delicious guavas, avocados, persimmons, oranges, lemons, and fresh vegetables. She enjoyed word search puzzles, dancing, celebrating holidays and family birthdays, and visiting casinos and buffets with her beloved husband. But above all, her greatest pride and joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Esterlita will be remembered for her generous heart, her blossoming garden, and her strength & determination. We will miss her homemade sweets at holidays, her comforting hugs & kisses, and most of all, her joyful laugh & warm smile.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Margarito Maratas and Abundia Salinas Maratas, and her 5 siblings. Ester leaves behind in God’s care her devoted husband Remberto Bolotaolo Arcamo; her son Gary Love Maratas Arcamo; her daughter Darlyn Arcamo Walters (husband Paul Allen Walters); two granddaughters, Alayna Danielle Arcamo Walters and Audrey Lynnae Arcamo Walters; and many dear friends and relatives who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Although our hearts are heavy with loss, we are deeply grateful for the time we shared with Esterlita and the love she brought into our lives. Our family extends our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered love, support, and comfort during this difficult time.
