Emilia A. Torres, age 87, resident of Temecula, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Emilia was born on July 1, 1923 in Makati, Philippines. She worked for many years as a caregiver in nursing homes. She is survived by her children, Norma Scarinzi, Lourdes Acuna, Danilo Torres, Rodolfo Torres, Erlinda Layao, Ernesto Torres, Andres Torres, Carmencita Buasan, and Imelda Finn; sister, Florencia Medina; 39 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, September 10, 2010 at England Family Mortuary from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society in Emilia honor.
