IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth (Betty)
Ann Mccullough
October 16, 1934 – October 27, 2025
Elizabeth Ann (Nichols) McCullough, age 91, of Temecula, California, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 27, 2025. She is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, Ken McCullough, who preceded her in death in 2019.
Elizabeth, affectionately known to all as Betty, was born on October 16, 1934, in Campbell, New York, to the late Milford E. and Alice O. (Hargrave) Nichols. A proud graduate of Savona High School, Betty made the brave move to Southern California in the late 1950s, but her heart always remained tied to her roots in Campbell. She cherished spending her summers there, and visiting family.
On April 6, 1989, Betty married Ken McCullough, and together they shared a love that was steadfast, joyful, and full of laughter. They were truly inseparable — partners in every sense of the word.
Betty dedicated her career to the Pomona Unified School District, where her sharp mind, and unmatched attention to detail made her an invaluable part of the Human Resources department. Even after retiring in 1997, she continued to lend her expertise for years. Though meticulous and driven, Betty was known for being on "Bet time" — a family-favorite term Ken coined to lovingly tease her about her tendency to run just a little late because there was always "one more thing" she needed to do.
A natural hostess and gifted saleswoman, Betty spent many happy years sharing Princess House crystal with friends and family. Her warmth, laughter, and generosity turned every gathering into a celebration. Many who knew Betty still treasure the sparkle of a Princess House piece — a small reminder of her light and love.
Betty's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her beloved children Thomas (Windy) Sirignano, Judy (Robert) Jurek, Jill (Dean) Marquez, and Gina Rodriguez; her step-children Lance (Susie) McCullough, Daren (Tracie) McCullough, Ndala (George) Scheele, and Shawna (Daniel) McManus; her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings Evelyn (Clinton) Wilcox, Roberta Calkins, Reta (John) Machuga, Lynda Peterson, and Paul (Patricia) Nichols; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, her husband Ken, and her beloved siblings Calvin Nichols, Merton Nichols, Paula Nichols, Marjorie Tyler, Perry Nichols, Ruth Campbell, Mary Fernandes, Carl Nichols, Carol Russell, Georgianna Lewis, and Lynn Nichols, step-son David Sirignano, and son-in-law Richard Rodriguez.
A service celebrating Betty's life will be held on December 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Ken. Following the service, a reception will be held at 36293 Trail Ride Lane, Wildomar, CA 92595.
