Dolores Ardel Stralow, loving wife and mother, was born to parents Howard and Jean Nelson in Morrison, IL and passed away at the age of 79 in Temecula, CA. She grew up in Morrison, attended Morrison High School and pursued a career as a Registered Nurse.

On September 12, 1965, Dolores married Cecil Stralow – they were married for 58 years. Dolores was the sister to Dr. Doug Nelson and his wife, Donna, the beloved mother of three daughters: Jennifer Mann, Kristen Reyes, and Angie Waisanen and a grandmother to five grandchildren.

As a Type 1 Diabetic since the age of 10, Dolores was an advocate for juvenile diabetes research and an active member of her local church. A Celebration of Life service to honor the memory of Dolores Ardel Stralow will be held at Trinity Lutheran (30470 Pauba Rd, Temecula, CA 92592) on Saturday, October 7, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Dolores' name at www.jdrf.org.
