David Ismael Rivera was born on January 23, 1992, to Maria Isabel Rivera and Alejandro Rivera. He was a loving sibling to his big brother Edgar and younger siblings Christian and Tanahiry. David was raised by a nurturing mother and hardworking father which was no surprise, as he was a true product of love, honesty, hard work, and selflessness.

Alongside his siblings, David grew into a tireless worker, a trait that followed him throughout his life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand without hesitation, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him knew that generosity was at the very core of his being. David had a welcoming nature and made friends everywhere he went. He never kept his success to himself and he made sure his friends shared in it, whether by helping them find jobs, lending a helping hand with their cars, or simply being there with guidance and advice when it mattered most.

In 2012, he met the love of his life, Vanessa Maria Rivera, and together they were blessed with 14 beautiful years. They were married in Maui on October 18, 2018, surrounded by those who loved them most. The love David witnessed between his parents taught him how to be the epitome of a devoted husband and an exemplary provider. His sweet, fun loving nature was the heart of their marriage, keeping his wife wrapped around his finger and forever proud of the wonderful man she called her husband.

David had a deep passion for the automotive industry and never felt like he was working a day in his life because he truly loved what he did. He dreamed big and always envisioned opening his own body shop. In 2022, that dream became a reality. Alongside his brothers Christian and Edgar, and longtime friend Julian, Empire Autobody was established. Empire Autobody was his pride and joy, and he worked late into the night to ensure its success.

David, lovingly known as “D,” will never be forgotten or replaced in our hearts. From his joyous laugh and infectious smile to the helping hand he always extended, his legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
