Bonnie Marie Velasquez, a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and mentor, passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2026 at the age of 43. She will be missed more than words. Her passion for life and love brought light into the lives of those around her, and those closest to her describe her as beauty personified. She was a woman of many talents and passions. She was an artist to the bone, and loved to create throughout her life.

From an early age, she displayed talents in the arts including singing, dancing, and poetry. At age 9, she took her first ballet class and quickly stood out as a top talent. Throughout her teens and twenties, she enjoyed opportunities to dance professionally and began teaching and choreographing for younger dancers—a love she would return to later in life.

As a young adult, Bonnie was drawn to nursing. She worked as a private Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for years, where she cared for sick and injured children. While this was difficult at times, she made a difference in each child’s life with her love and caring.

Eventually, her love for children and teaching led her to open Inspirations Dance Studio in 2015. There, she influenced the lives of hundreds of dancers for the better and acted as a mentor to the next generation of dance instructors. Inspirations has earned immense respect in the competition circuit, with students regularly taking high honors over the years. She was also able to leverage her reputation in local arts to found the Redlands Nutcracker in 2019, which has been a holiday landmark in the area since.

Capping off her long list of achievements and natural talent, she jumped feet-first into the world of competitive bodybuilding this past year, where she regularly medaled in 1st and 2nd place in her division and was well on her way to achieving professional status.

Bonnie’s creativity and love for art extended to every aspect of her life, where she viewed each day as a new day to create. She loved expressing herself through fashion and beauty and could reinvent herself on a whim. Life was a stage to her, and she could play the part for any situation. As the ultimate form of reinvention, she considered this life one of the many she has lived.

She loved the natural beauty of sunsets and watched them often from her back porch. As the sun sets on our time with Bonnie, view each sunset as a symbol of the time she blessed our lives with her light, although it was cut too short.

Bonnie’s crowning achievement and greatest love is the daughter she shares with her loving husband of 8 years. She is also survived by her loving parents and sisters. She has left an irreplaceable mark on our lives and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered forever. We strive to live on in ways that honor her legacy and the love she left behind.

A celebration of life will be held in Bonnie’s honor on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Temecula Old Town Loft.
