Angelita Huerta Melendez, age 82, passed away at home in Perris, California surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Angelita was born on March 31, 1927 in Arizona. She was a housewife and homemaker for her entire adult life. She is survived by her loving husband, Ernest Melendez; her children, Lisa Gomez, Adeline Drake, Joe Melendez, Ruben Melendez, Edward Melendez, and MaryAnn Gutierrz; her brother, Mike Huerta; sisters, Dolly Melendez and Francis Ramos; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, March 7, 2010 at England Family Mortuary from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. A funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, March 8, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Perris, CA at 10:00 a.m. with a burial to follow at Elsinore Valley Cemetery.
