Alvin Jesus Barbes, 70 years old, of Lake Elsinore – CA, passed away on February 06, 2025 after complications of a stroke he suffered in 2020.

Alvin was born on April 20 th , 1954 to Haydee and Jesus Barbes in Santa Isabel – Puerto Rico. Alvin moved to New York when he was a child. Alvin graduated from Stony Brook College in Long Island with a biology major and an arts minor.

Alvin joined Beckman Coulter as a field service engineer in the mid 80's serving the 5 boroughs in New York, and in 2000 he moved to California. In 2014 Alvin transferred to SCIEX where he worked until 2020.

Alvin was well known by his work ethics and dedication to his customers and peers, infectious laugh, sense of humor and his love of cars.

Alvin is survived by his children Melaney and Jesse.

Services will be held at England Family Mortuary on February 22nd at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Stroke Foundation – https://americanstroke.org/donate/.
