Loving Mother, Grandmother, USFSA Figure Skater, Teacher, and Animal Lover, Aileen I Arenson (Age 86) passed away peacefully with her son, Lance Arenson, and granddaughter, Jenna Arenson, by her side after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Aileen started ice skating at the age of four. This would blossom into a lifelong passion and dedication for the sport culminating in a US Championship in Junior Ice Dance in 1956. She was an elementary school teacher in La Mesa, CA before retiring. In her retirement, she became a USFSA judge and travelled all over the United States judging skating events. A past La Jolla figure skating club president and member of the board of governors, she devoted 55+ years in support of the U.S. Figure Skating association. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
