Frances Von Voigt, a resident of the beautiful Temecula Wine Country passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 23, 2019 at the age of 83. She was born on August 31,1935 in Queens, New York to Salvatore and Mary Cascio. She lived in Ozone Park with her parents, brother Joseph and sister Rosetta. When she was 14 years old, she met the love of her life, Fredrick Conrad Von Voigt and they started dating. She was 18 years old when they married on April 24, 1954. They enjoyed 65 years of friendship, love, and companionship. In 1957, Fran and Fred started their family when Frederick Conrad Von Voigt Jr. was born. The family grew to 5 when Susan Marie, Robert, Mark and Mary Frances were added to the family. Frances was the Lord’s servant her whole life. She followed the the teachings of Jesus Christ where in the Gospel of Mark, Jesus shows his servant’s heart: “And He sat down and called the twelve. And He said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all”. Mark 9:35 Frances had a servant’s heart but she did not flaunt her service. She hated being in the limelight but rather stayed in the background where she could do the the best work. Being a proud Sicilian American, she loved cooking and her Italian cuisine was legendary. She loved to cook huge meals for her family and friends. She was a huge fan of thriller novels and would take notes to make sure she caught every plot. Frances is survived by her loving husband, Frederick, Sons, Robert and Mark, daughters Susan Chatman and Mary McFadden,17 grandchildren/great grandchildren and other family and friends. Showing her servant’s heart until the very end, Frances’ wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital at stjude.org.

  1. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Tim. 4:7

What can we say about our beloved Fran that everyone who knew her doesn’t already know. She was truly a wonderful human being; truly a disciple of the Lord. She did for anyone never expecting anything in return.Beautiful….inside and out. She had the most beautiful smile which we will always remember. Her friendship we will treasure forever. We will miss her tremendously but knowing she is in the Lord’s arms and reunited with her son, Fred and all of her loved ones who passed on before her, brings us joy. We will see her again one day, praise be to God.

Our deepest and sincere condolences to our wonderful friend and Bible Study leader, Dcn. Fred and their beautiful family. God bless you all.

Eternal rest grant unto our beloved Fran oh Lord and May perpetual light shine upon her for eternity.

We love you always. GEORGE & OLIVIA MIRANDA .:latin_cross::heart::latin_cross::heart::latin_cross:

  2. From my first memories with you at the cabin in Idyllwild, going to the movies with you and Poppa in the year 2000 (I was 4 y/o, YES I remember!), to my high school graduation in 2014, to going to Temecula Pizza Company for dinner with you and Poppa, and then back to your house, where we talked for a good 3-4 hours, I’ll never forget the memories that I have made with you. Nana, you have always been a bright light of peace, happiness, comfort, and love in my life. I always admired the strength you held in your faith, and how it shaped you, and how it shaped others around you in positive, life-changing ways. I will always admire the effort you made to make sure us kids were smiling, and how you pulled the family closer than ever during family gatherings. You and Poppa are and will always be some of my biggest influences in my lifetime, I hope you know that. I love you, Nana. Thank you for the love you have given me, I will always be holding it close to me.

  3. We got to know Fran around 2010 when we started attending Deacon Fred’s Bible Study. Fran was a woman of courage and dignity in the face of adversity. She was fiercely loyal to her husband, family and friends. She did such wonderful work for the people of St. Martha. She gave without asking for anything in return, a true servant of Jesus, a wonderful wife, mother and friend. We will miss her so much but know that she is with God, who when she met Him must have said, “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the Kingdom of your Lord.
    Goodbye dear friend.
Our deepest condolences to Deacon Fred and family.
    Much love
    Peter & Isobel Walsh
