  1. Timmy and I were the family brats. We loved Eleanor and she loved us. I am very thankful for the long conversation with her just before her passing. It was a fun, us talking. She was alert and seemed to have enjoyed our talk. Part of our conversation discussed to her early sense of faith. It is notable in that she was a child in the depression of the 1930’s. Something should be said about those years as they are her formative years and largely lost to future generations. Her older brother Wilbur (deceased) told me that as they were growing up during those, times they had no Christmas gifts, they were lucky if they had food. That message was also passed onto me. Eleanor was part of history that suffered the effects of the Great Depression and the fears of World War II. Eleanor’ found faith and comfort in the Church of Latter Day saints for many, many years. She found peace and love in life. She rests in peace. – Nephew Tommy (Thomas Kussell).
