Celia E. Perez

Celia Perez, 96, passed away peacefully Friday morning, December 7, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Murrieta, California. Irene and her granddaughter Toya Senteno were with her as she went to be with her loving husband, Alfonso. Celia was born in Los Angeles, California June 21, 1922. She lived a long life, spending her earlier years with her parents and her seven sisters. Celia married Alfonso B. Perez in September of 1942 and spent the best years of her life with him raising their four daughters, Irene, Diane, Armida, and Lydia. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from California State University Los Angeles and used her love for teaching to touch the lives of children throughout her career. Celia’s passion for learning and life was passed on to her four daughters, 9 grandchildren, and her many great-grandchildren. Celia was known for her love of dancing, books, movies, and the arts. Celia and Alfonso traveled the world together enjoying life and living life to the fullest. She loved cards and could often be found playing different games like Canasta and Rummy with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will always be touched by her presence and they will never forget her intellect, love for life, and the passion she had for her family. Celia is finally reunited with her beloved Alfonso, and her family is proud to have known her and been a part of her wonderful life.
