Rodolfo Coralde Padi

rodolfo padi
“Papa Rudy” as we all lovingly call him, joined his creator and wife Lolita on Friday, December 22, 2017. They had 45 years until she passed last August. He is survived by his daughters Shyrell and Melanie, son-in-law Roner and granddaughter Sophia. Papa was a simple man, he grew up in the province of Bicol, Philippines. Worked overseas for many years to support his family and in 1995, retired and was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease. His calm, quiet demeanor made everyone love him. He was the kindest, most generous man you will ever meet. He and my mom migrated to the US on 2010. A year later, he had a stroke which also triggered his dementia. We took care of him, the best way we can. When mom passed 4 months ago, though he’s unable able to say, he knows someone is missing. He was sad and missed the love of his life. We were not enough to make him happy. And on Friday, his heart just stopped beating. What gives us comfort is that we know they are reunited in heaven. He would not let mama have Christmas alone. Thank you papa for everything you did for us. For being the best husband, father, uncle, cousin, brother and ‘wowo” to my Sophia. We will miss you forever. We love you and may you rest in peace. Hug and kiss Mama for us. We are the person we are because of you both. You died with a broken heart, but we will live on with one.
