Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Jackson and Robbie as you grieve the lost of your Mom., know you are LOVED! Take comfort in the beautiful memories you shared together and in the knowledge that she knew the Lord and is at rest from pain and worry. Quida was a beautifully, gentle lady. The same was true when she was a child. The love, wisdom, and joy she gave will never fade as long as we hold her in our hearts. Her influence touched so many lives, those of her family, both biological and spirtiual, as well as those of her students. Her kindness and generosity is legendary, and Oh! that ever so sweet voice! We will all truly miss her, but we will not despair, for she has done her job well! Her example is there to light our way.
    Your cousin Janice McHaney-Pirtle

  2. Kojo, Jackson and all of Ouida’s Family
You don’t need me to tell you what a wonderful person you were all blessed with… she was not only a colleague and a friend to me. She was like a sister to me. She was the most encouraging and uplifting person that I have ever known. Ouida prayed and believed that I would be able to have a baby and it took many years but God heard her prayer! She never gave up ! She is such a faithful woman and an inspiration to me. As I raise my child, I find myself thinking,”What would Ouida do in this situation?” She has also showed me time in time again how to treat people with respect and love. I will miss her terribly and my heart is broken that she is no longer here , but I know that she is at peace and pain free. Ouida’s legacy will continue through all of her friends, family and students. . I’m so grateful to God for sending Ouida in my life.
    Love, Linda Holguin

  3. Ouida was a kind and loving person. I was blessed to know her briefly but she has left an ever lasting affect on my heart. Rest now, dear friend.

  4. What a wonderful person! We will miss her so much. I taught with her at Nuview Elementary. What a glowing example of someone who lived the Golden Rule for students, parents, and fellow teachers!
