Norman (Norm) Taylor, a 38 year resident of Temecula passed away on March 24, 2017 surrounded by his family, he was 81. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty; their four sons, Steve, Bob, Mike, and Chris; his sister, Carol Parrish; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Norm retired from the Air Force after a 20 year career. After his AF retirement, Norm and the family then moved to Fallbrook, due to good, long-time, military friend Bob and Dorothy Shelton, Norm then worked and retired from the Fallbrook post office. In retirement, Norm and Betty volunteered many hours at the Temecula Museum. Norm led many tours of school children and other Temecula visitors through Old Town providing vivid, enthusiastic stories of the buildings history and notable activities. Norm was extremely pround of his family; his sons and their amazing wives, his nine grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He enjoyed attending their school sporting events and traveling across the country to visit the east coast grandchildren and great-grandchildre. Dad was a great father and gread example of how his sons should be husbands, fathers, and a grandfathers. We are just as proud of you dad as you were of us. A memorial will take place Saturday, April 1, 2017 at England Family Mortuary Chapel, Temecula, CA at 10:30 am followed by a reception at the Temecula Museum. A funeral Mass will be at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Temecula at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 3, 2017. The Mass will be followed by a full military honors ceremony and interment at the Temecula Public Cemetery.
