Au revoir Marcelle! We will always remember your laughter, your sense of humour and your kindness. Thank you for your friendship all these years. Bon voyage là-haut! Juteau’s family xxxx.
Grandma Marcelle was one of the closest, sweetest, kindest family members I was so fortunate to have. Over the past 48 years, she has been an amazing role model, and only brought love (and really good food!) to the table. My entire life is filled with great memories, including travel to wonderful places like Sanibel Island Florida, Germany, and the entire US West Coast. I will miss her the rest of my days on earth.
Marcelle came into my life when I was a teenager. Over all these years she has been more like a sister than a stepmom. We shared so many fun times. She was a person easy to be silly with, easy to have serious conversations with, and just an all around kind person. I think I remember most the times we were silly together. She always liked to tease dad and Joe, so I think that is when we nicknamed her the “Canadian Devil”. Marcelle’s passing leaves a deep sadness in my heart, but joy in having had her in my life as long as I did. Many blessings to you, Marcelle, on your next journey.
And to my dad: you are a treasure to me. I will be by your side all the way on this next chapter of your life. Love you so much. Your daughter, Susan
One of my favorite pictures of my Aunt Marcelle sitting out on the deck of the house we rented in Cayucos in July 2015. I have so many wonderful memories of being at the beach with her and Uncle Bill. I’m going to miss her.
Unfortunately because of the thousands of miles between Montreal and California, I did not get to see my aunt Marcelle and uncle Bill enough. I will however always remember Marcelle’s friendly nature, she was kind hearted and fun to be with, a classy lady too. Both Bill and Marcelle were such a huge support to our family in recent years as Mom (Marcelle’s sister, Marie) was struggling with dementia. Marcelle would call us frequently (she practiced her french with us over the phone and was pretty good at it!). I have beautiful memories of visiting her and Bill in California some 25 years ago but my recent visit in October 2017 was so heart-breaking. Bill, of course, was the perfect host but visiting Marcelle at Atria made me so sad, it was a tough goodbye on October 10th. Mom passed away on December 12th, 2017 just 3 weeks before her sister Marcelle, Although I was not up to making the trip down on January 10th, 2018, my thoughts and prayers were there. I will forever cherish the ceramic doll Marcelle made and gave to me a long time ago. Adieu Marcelle.

Farwell dear Marcelle. I have enjoyed your company for almost 50 years, and I will really miss you. Thanks for the memories!
