SUE ERICKSON January 4, 1938 - March 23, 2018 Kathryn “Sue” Erickson went to be with her Savior on March 23, 2018, in Menifee, California with loved ones by her side. She was 80 years old. The youngest of six children, Sue was raised in Indiana, graduating from Emmerich Manual High School in 1956. Years later she continued her education taking courses of interest to her, such as creative writing, music and the history of furniture design. As a young adult she lived in New Mexico and later California, settling first in Chula Vista, then Fallbrook and finally Winchester with her sweet dog Missy . Like her mother, her home was a shelter for her loved ones. She had a generous heart and loved her family and friends dearly. Sue and her husband Tom, married 25 years, designed and built their “farm” house in the avocado groves of Fallbrook. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, ribbon embroidery, quilting, and puzzles, but most of all special weekends spent there with her grandchildren. She was very successful in the Real Estate industry, first as a Realtor (Chula Vista) and Title Rep (Fallbrook), winning awards and dedicated customers. Sue was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Temecula and very active with the homebound ministry. Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Erickson. She is survived by her daughter Robin and her husband Bill, daughter Dawn, and son Bryan and his wife Brenda, and 11 grandchildren, Ammie, Tawnya, Jeff, Michael, Kyle, Leighann, Desiree, Billy, Bob, Krystle and Christopher, as well as 14 great-grandchildren with 4 more on the way. She leaves behind her sister Berniece and brother Bud. Interment will be private at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Oceanside with a Celebration of Life service at Trinity Lutheran Church on April 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., 30470 Pauba Road, Temecula 92592.
