  1. My Mother was a very special person. When I was young she was coming to my classroom bringing cupcakes frosted white and decorated with red and green lifesavers, I told her that I had told the class she was Miss New York before and very pretty. She was furious with me. She told me being pretty was not important that it was superficial and did not last. Being a good and loyal person was important using my brain and soaking up knowledge is what impresses people. My Dad loved her because she was the kind of gal who could take a road trip and be happy with a loaf of bread and a pack of bologna. She loved to sew us matching Mother and daughters dresses when I was little. Always learning new crafts and made our house special at all occasions. One year our tree was decorated with hand crafted eggs and there was a handmade paper maiche manger scene, Mom even painted our old steel trash cans with Peanuts characters, She was a fun Mom who took me to girl scout meetings and was also a den Mother for the boy scouts. Fall was her favorite season and she loved making our Halloween costumes. My Mom had a good life she continued her education all through the years made many friends and was very content. Lets not be sad for her lets be happy and rejoice her life.

  2. Our beloved Mothers graveside service will be Monday, April 16 at 9:15am. The service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, Ca 92591. 5. So many great memories of Mom. She had a very creative side to her and I’ll never forget all the ‘cool’ art & crafts she made at home. Mom was constantly involved with various charitable, military and civic causes. Some of the best times was when the family all joined together on a pledge drive. Recall one time we raised money by hosting a carnival in our backyard. Local news crew came out that day. Mom always had a strong belief to keep learning throughout life. After obtaining a college degree, Mom continually signed up for classes at local universities way into her 80’s!. Thank You Mom for all your love and encouragement!
