GLORIA MAE KLEPONIS HUNT On December 12, 2017 Heaven welcomed in Gloria Mae Kleponis Hunt. She had fought the good fight, brought joy to many and was ready for rest in her Savior Jesus’ arms. Gloria was born in Los Angeles on May 22, 1932. She was raised in San Diego and Mission Beach, California. She graduated from Point Loma High School at 16 years old. Gloria then earned a BS degree in Accounting at San Diego State. She was a lifelong member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She then began a 30 plus year career in business retiring at 55 years old as an accountant and office manager. In her retirement years, she became very active in the prayer ministries of her church, Bible study and supporting single mothers’ ministry. Her greatest love was her family. Beginning with her dear mother, Christine Crist and step-fatherVincent Kleponis. Then, marrying her husband Chester Riley Hunt on August 23, 1950. She unconditionally loved her only child, Nancy Christine and her son-in-law Daniel Manning Grigsby. She rejoiced when her grandson Daniel Hunt was born and a great granddaughter Xiamora Violet. She was loved beyond measure by family and friends who will miss her always. They will seek to love others with that same unwavering love Gloria always expressed. Guestbook

  1. Aunt Gloria is an influence for goodness. From my earliest recollection, she always had a smile and kind word for us, in fact I don’t think I ever saw her frown or speak harshly. She was a peacemaker and by her example taught us to love one another. She genuinely cared for others, regardless of any perceived differences. Her love was unconditional. Her life is a testimony to the Spiritual and our spirits are strengthened for having known her. Missing her is a heartache but we hold to the hope that one day we will be reunited as a heavenly family with this sweet soul. -Beth, Doug, Steve, Roger & Kathi Hunt

  2. I agree wholeheartedly with my brother Doug’s comments. Gloria was one of my favorite aunts. I remember as a young child hugging her and she would encourage me to squeeze harder…as I got older she would ask me not so tight because I grew stronger. I loved hugging her. She was a ray of sunshine and joy wherever she went. She is greatly missed but we know she is at peace.
