Miss Dianne Linda Evelyn Jore died peacefully on March 28, 2018 in Chula Vista, CA at the age of 73. She was born on April 23, 1944 in Valley City, North Dakota to John and Evelyn Jore. Dianne is survived by her sister, JoAnne Smith of Chula Vista, CA and several nephews and nieces living in California, Oregon, Washington, and New York. She is predeceased by her brother Raymond Jore of Whittier, CA. Dianne graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1962 and also attended Southern Oregon College. After moving to Downey, CA, she began working for the Apollo program with North American Rockwell and later transitioned to the Space Shuttle program with Boeing. Dianne retired in 1999 with a total of 30 years of service in the aerospace industry. She is remembered as a hardworking employee and a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed gathering family together. Dianne was accomplished at gardening and raising beautiful flowers. She was an independent and generous person who loved her dogs very much and was passionate about living in Temecula, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling the world. She was an active member of her Christian church and often volunteered with local organizations. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am, April 9, 2018, at the Temecula Public Cemetery, 41911 C Street, Temecula, CA, with a celebration of life reception to follow at Pat & Oscars at the Pond in Temecula, CA. Pastor Dan Hill will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dianne’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Salvation Army and/or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The family would like to thank the many caregivers for their genuine concern for Dianne’s wellbeing and the wonderful care provided to her.
