Alfonso Badar Gines

ALFONSO BADAR GINES (PONCING) was the third child born to Juanita and Primo Sr. Gines. He was born and raised in San Marcelino, Zambales, a city what he called home and the place where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth Manalo. At the age of 21, he embarked on his first journey to the United States where he later joined the U.S. Navy. A couple years later he travelled back to the Philippines to ask his love for her hand in marriage. Together they created a beautiful family filled with years of love and happiness. Alfonso retired from the military in 1992 after 21 years of service. He continued providing for his family with his service of 18 years in the U.S. Post Office. In 2013, he finally retired from duty. Alfonso was a gentle man with a warm heart. A testament of his love for others can be found in the relationships he had with his family and friends. He was a big fan of the Beatles and a collector of James Bond movies. He was always an avid photographer. He captured many important moments in his life many of which were images of what mattered to him most, his family. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Pipa, Brother, Son, Uncle and Friend. Many others who he loved and accepted as family will also forever keep him in their hearts and his legacy will live on in all of us.
